I have also litigated successfully for clients with free speech concerns: from those speaking out about assisted suicide in a state that tried to prohibit such speech, to individuals facing anti-gay discrimination in requests for vanity license plates, to those wrongfully arrested for verbally criticizing law enforcement, or for uttering profanities a public meeting.. Mia Ilene-Beth Frieder is the author of two books which have been the subject of accredited seminars in Georgia and throughout the southeast including Alabama and Tennessee. Mia has been a featured speaker at Bridge the Gap, a required seminar for all new members of the Georgia Bar for over a decade, and spoken at the national level at the annual convention for the American Association for Justice on the topic of Failure to Diagnose Breast Cancer. M. Gino Brogdon, a native of Ohio, is the youngest of eleven children. He received his B.A. in economics in 1983 from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and obtained his J.D. in 1986 from the Indiana University School of Law. Upon completing law school, Brogdon moved to Atlanta to begin his legal career. After establishing a successful solo practice, he served on the State Court of Fulton County from March 1996 to July 2002, and on the Superior Court of Fulton County from July 2002 to December 2005. Gino returned to private practice in 2005, focused on personal injury claims and mediation.. Gino is a frequent speaker at legal education seminars and has also appeared on CNN, MSNBC and GPTV. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct professor at the Emory University School of Law and John Marshall School of Law. Gino is a member of several associations, including the State Bar of Georgia (1987–present); Indiana State Bar Association (1986-present); Atlanta Bar Association (1987-present); Gate City Bar Association (1994-present); and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (1992-1996, 2007-present).
