Mr. Limbaugh is an active member of the Aurora Bar Association, currently serving as Vice President; the Arapahoe County Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association; the Disability, Trusts and Estates, and Elder Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association; and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He was recently appointed by Gov. Jared Polis to serve on the Colorado Disability Funding Committee.. In addition to his passion for educating, supporting, and protecting his clients, Mr. Limbaugh has a busy family life. A former foster parent and now adoptive parent, Mr. Limbaugh has learned first-hand the importance of thoughtful and informed planning for the unknown. Mr. McLaughlin heads the firm’s business practice. He has extensive commercial litigation experience and regularly represents businesses in shareholders’ and partners’ disputes, breach of contract claims, employee disputes, trade secrets and noncompete violations, copyright and trademark violations, GAO bid disputes, and commercial real estate disputes. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, is authorized to appear before the Court of Federal Claims, and has successfully handled multimillion dollar cases before a wide range of federal, state, and local agencies and courts. Mr. McLaughlin utilizes his trial experience in conjunction with his corporate and estate planning experience to develop asset protection programs for business owners, recognizing the special challenges facing professionals such as physicians. He also represents fiduciaries in probate and trust disputes.
