I have been a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois since 2003.  I began my legal career as a an Assistant State's Attorney in the County of Kendall, State of Illinois.  In 2006, I opened my private practice and have successfully represented hundreds of clients in matters ranging from divorce and family law issues to criminal defense.. I have a unique perspective in criminal defense from my experience as a former Assistant States Attorney.  I have a strong background in litigating both family law and criminal matters.  I believe that in order to successfully represent client's in criminal and family law matters one must know what the available options are, have a very thorough knowledge of the applicable law and be thoroughly prepared.

Almost lifetime resident of Aurora from elementary school to returning from law school to start my professional career.  While primarily a Family Law practitioner (including certifications Guardian ad Litem (since 1998) and Family Law Mediator (since 2002) Kane and Kendall Counties), I have significant experience in other civil practice subjects, including trials.  I consider Kane and Kendall Counties my "home" counties, but have had more occasional appearances in farther south and west counties.. Professional activities include presenter experience for Kane County Bar Association seminars (Family, Guardian ad Litem, and Mediation most frequently), service on the Kane County Bar Foundation Board of Directors, and past stints as Kane County Bar Foundation counsel and Kane County Bar Association counsel.  Pro bono activities include Kane County Family Lawyer in the LIbrary, Kendall County Lawyer in the Lobby, and Kane County CASA.. Personal activities include music performance (adult community band), cycling, and politics in various forms and intensity depending on the situation.
