I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Following graduation from O'Gorman High School, I chose to continue my education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. At Creighton, I received an outstanding liberal arts education in the Jesuit tradition. Serving as a Resident Advisor during my last two years at Creighton helped me to develop my customer service skills. In May 1990, I graduated cum laude with my B.A. in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business Administration.. I knew that I wanted to be a lawyer since a young age so I continued my education at the Creighton School of Law. Working my way through college and law school gave me an appreciation for hard work and dedication. Clerking for a local law firm during my last year of law school opened my eyes to the inner workings of a law firm and gave me a real world view of lawyering.. Following graduation from law school in the top third of my class, I successfully passed the Nebraska bar exam and accepted a position with Brown & Brown, PC. The five years that I worked at B&B gave me a breadth of experience in several areas of law, including immigration. Handling employment-based cases for our corporate clients sparked an interest in learning more about this area. So, when I opened my own law practice in February 1999, I decided to dedicate my time to handling immigration cases only. The U.S. immigration laws are so complex that I knew that I would need to focus only on immigration if I wanted to be successful.. Our focus on immigration cases only helps us to ensure quality customer service and personal attention to our clients.. Call our office to schedule a consultation.
