Paul Murray comes with considerable experience in a very broad range of legal areas.. He was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009 and became a sworn and certified Judge Advocate for the Marine Corps in 2013, Murray has spent his entire career thus far serving Marines and Sailors in the legal field. After graduating law school in 2012, then, Captain Murray was permanently stationed at MCRD Parris Island where he vigorously represented clients in landlord and tenant law, consumer law, estate planning, contract disputes, family law, Service-Member Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and many other areas of law. Following his duties as a legal assistance attorney, he went on to defend Marines and Sailors at court-martial and adverse administrative action where service-members faced charges ranging from DUI/DWI and drug use/distribution to serious charges of rape and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.. Throughout his time practicing, Murray has gained experience representing both the government and individual clients at court-martial and adverse administrative action and boasts a very favorable record on both sides.  He has recently been honorably discharged from the active duty U.S. Marine Corps.  As a civilian attorney, he currently concentrates in the areas of Workers Compensation under the Longshore Harbor Workers' Act & Defense Base Act, military justice, and DUI Defense. Mr. Adkins spent ten years on active duty where he acheived success in garrison and while deployed.  He earned a Bronze Star while deployed to Iraq in 2007, and became a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army in 2010.  After a successful tour as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Jackson South Carolina, he was selected to be an instructor at THE United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy where he mentored and trained future Drill Sergeants for the remainder of his time in service.  Mr. Adkins left the service to pursue his passion for the law, and graduated in 2 1/2 years from the South Carolina School of Law.  He is licensed in the state of South Carolina, in the federal district court of South Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.  He has been married for 13 years to his wife Bobbie, and they have three children.  The Adkins family chose Beaufort, SC to settle down and raise a family.  Mr. Adkins now serves the military community all across the country as well as practicing criminal defense in the lowcountry of South Carolina.  He has already served as defense and witness counsel in multiple Courts-Martial, in addition to his regular civilian defense practice.  Handling cases as small as simple possession and as large as attempted murder, Mr. Adkins puts his attention to detail and commitment to Constitutional values into his work for the military and civilian communities every day.

Claud R. Wheatly, III “Rob” is the third generation of his family to practice law in Carteret County. He graduated from The Citadel in 1969 and the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of Captain. He began practicing law in 1972 with his father, engaging in a general practice. He has served as the town attorney for the Town of Beaufort and currently the county attorney for Carteret County. He specializes in real property, business, corporate, environmental law and a civil trial practice in all State and Federal Courts.

Bradley N.
