After attending Lamar University and obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice, I worked as a paralegal for two years. In doing that work, I discovered a passion for the law and a talent for connecting with people and helping them navigate through legal issues. Taking three years off work to attend law school full-time was not an option for me, so I continued working full-time during the day and attended law school in the evenings at South Texas College of Law in Houston. I graduated law school in 2004 and was hired immediately by a small Beaumont firm whose primary practice area was personal injury defense. I remained with the firm for almost 7 years, eventually branching out to open my own practice focusing primarily on family law. I enjoy the challenges family law brings, but more than that, I enjoy helping my clients navigate through difficult times and giving them the peace of mind of knowing that we will get through whatever transition they are facing together.
