W. Theodore Vander Wel was born in Newton, NJ; admitted to the bar, 1988, Washington, U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; education: Dordt College (B.A., 1985); Drake University (J.D. with honors, 1988). Member: King County and Washington State Bar Assocation; National Lawyers Association.. ---. Whether before or after litigation erupts as a result of a dispute, I am committed to providing my clients with excellent legal representation for a reasonable cost.  I have handled disputes in most of Western Washington for a wide variety of clients.  Most of these disputes are resolved by settlement before a trial or an arbitration occurs.  If litigation occurs, however, I rigorously advocate my client's position.  In the past twenty years, I have served as counsel in hundreds of cases in the Washington superior and appellate courts and arbitrations.. In addition to the satisfaction of resolving disputes by adjudication or settlement, I enjoy the intellectual challenge practicing law affords.  Because no two disputes are identical, my work rarely is routine.. Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and running, biking and hiking.  I serve as an elder of my local church.

Thanks for visiting my office profile.. I represent injured people.  That's all I do, and all I've done since 1983.  In that time, I've had the honor to speak for well over 1,000 victims of others' negligence, mainly from King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, but from all over Western Washington, and from Eastern Washington as well.  I've also appeared in the courts of Oregon, Idaho and California.. While most injury cases settle out of court,  I've tried over one hundred cases to conclusion, mainly in Seattle, Tacoma and Everett, but also in Spokane, Yakima, Tri-Cities, and San Diego.. Nobody wants a "good" injury claim;  that means you've suffered a bad injury.   On the other hand, if you are seriously hurt, you need experienced, competent representation.. I'm honored to have earned an "AV"--"preeminent"--rating from Martindale-Hubbel each year since 1999.  Martindale is an anonymous, random peer review/rating organization, and the "AV" rating means that a the lawyers that I work with and against think highly of my work.. I'm proud to say that I am willing to handle medical negligence cases, on behalf of people whose health care providers failed them.  These are very difficult, time consuming and risky cases, and many plaintiffs' attorneys won't touch them.    We are willing to investigate such cases, and if there's solid proof of negligence, we'll take them on.. Like most plaintiff's laywers, we also handle all other injury claims, incuding automobile accidents, "slip and fall" accidents, construction site injuries, etc.   Our clients consistently compliment my excellent staff for the genuine care and attention they give to the cases we handle.. We'll be glad to talk to you about your case.. Best wishes and good luck.. Dave

Jennifer possesses the right mix of technical expertise, practical knowledge, and a down-to-earth personality to guide you through the complexities of modern estate planning law. After practicing with two large downtown Seattle law firms–Foster Pepper PLLC and Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP—Jennifer noticed that many of her clients wanted to receive big-firm estate planning service and expertise, but in a more intimate setting. Seeking the benefits of a small firm environment as well, Jennifer joined a law firm on Mercer Island. In 2008, Jennifer and two other women broke off from that firm to form Somers Tamblyn King PLLC. Since then, the firm has grown into a well-respected estate planning, family law, elder law, Medicaid, and special needs planning firm.. Nonetheless, desirous of developing a firm working exclusively on estate planning and estate administration, in November 2017, Jennifer, Diana Zottman, and Julia Lindeman co-founded Three60 Law Group. I will fully explain what’s at stake. If you are charged with a crime, you are probably at risk of losing your job or your driver’s license, facing jail time or fines, I will advise you on your next steps and work to develop a plan that can most likely get the charges against you dismissed or reduced.. If your relationship is veering towards a separation and you need strong legal counsel then I can help. I enjoy courtroom work. Over the last 42 years, I have represented hundreds of clients who need courtroom representation. In England, the system is actually divided between Barristers (trial attorneys) and Solicitors (paper pushers). I am a Barrister.. If someone has brought a legal action against you or you wish to bring a legal action against another party, you want an attorney who is comfortable with trial work and what is involved in presenting a case to a judge or jury.

I started practicing law in 2009 and, being a big music fan, out of law school I worked at Capitol Records in Los Angeles where I drafted and negotiated contracts for bands of the record company, putting their music in TV shows, film, commercials and video games. Some of the projects I worked on include Nike commercials, the films Inception and Scott Pilgrim v. The World, as well as video games Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero.. After living in Los Angeles I moved to Denver, Colorado where I worked for a national law firm in the Energy and Natural Resources practice. In Denver my practice focused on complex real estate and business transactions for Fortune 100 clients, primarily in the energy sector. During this time I was fortunate enough to lead teams of up to ten people in the due diligence phase of acquisitions of assets valued up to $6.5 billion.. Working for a larger firm provided a lot of great experience I would not have been able to get anywhere else, but in 2017 I decided to move back to my home state of Washington to start Moultray & McMahon with Josh. In making that move I pivoted my practice from advising big corporate clients to advising individuals and small businesses with their real estate and business needs. My clientele now primarily consists of real estate investors and home buyers/sellers looking to cut out broker commissions when buying and selling properties, as well as small businesses who are just getting up and running. I also review and negotiate a lot of commercial lease agreements for individuals and small businesses.. I received my B.S. in Psychology from Washington State University in 2005 and graduated from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 2009. I have also been a guest lecturer at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law on numerous occasions. I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, New York and Washington.. I went to WSU so Saturdays in the fall are generally pretty stressful, but I get away from Cougar football by doing a lot of skiing and going to concerts in Seattle.

I have been practicing law since 1983 and I very much enjoy what I do.  I meet people at their lowest points, which is the nature of a divorce case, and I do everything I can to help them through this trying time.  If children are involved, I urge my clients to emphasize what is best for the children.  If the other spouse sees things the same way, this can lead to good outcomes for all concerned.  I have a stable of available experts to assist my clients and me such as real estate appraisers, business valuation experts, forensic accountants, forensic psychologists and vocational rehabilitation experts.  I work full time and am available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  I am also available after hours or on weekends by appointment.  As a public service, I do not charge a fee for a potential client's first appointment.  I served 20 years in the United States Army Reserve and learned many valuable lessons in that career which I apply to my law practice every day.
