Ross G. D. Meyers was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2012 from Colorado State University with a major in Horticulture. Ross went on to the University of Oregon School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in the Spring of 2016. While at the University of Oregon, Ross was a Managing Editor for the Oregon Review of International Law, Vice President of the Law of Intellectual Property, and a research assistant for Professor Gary and Professor Priest. Ross was published for his work on the Doctrine of Appropriation and Asteroid Mining and he participated in a legal clinic where he represented individuals accused of Driving Under the Influence in Lane County District Court under the supervision of an experienced attorney.. After law school, Ross worked for years as a Public Defender with Vancouver Defenders (AKA Jeffrey Barrar, P.S.). There he helped hundreds of individuals navigate the criminal justice system, appearing in court on a near-daily basis and focusing exclusively on litigation. In 2019, Ross moved north to Whatcom County and transitioned into private practice at the Law Offices of Roger Ellingson, where he practices criminal defense, family law, and general civil litigation.

Rajeev proudly served as the President of the 41,000 member Washington State Bar Association from 2019 to 2020.. Raised in rural Eastern Idaho, Rajeev (of Irish, Italian and Bengali descent… since we knew you would ask!) completed his undergraduate studies at Albertson College of Idaho in the sciences.  He came to Washington in 1999 to do graduate work at the University of Washington, earning Masters in Public Administration and another in International Studies.  While completing his graduate research, he traveled extensively in Burma and India, worked as a consultant in matters of international security and was recruited to work for the National Nuclear Security Administration in Washington D.C.   While working for the Federal Government during the events of 9/11, he had a first-hand view of the Pentagon hours after it was hit and also visited the New York site several weeks later.  He worked to establish protocols of cooperation between the United States and several other nations to ensure the containment of WMD technology, which inspired him to go to law school.. Rajeev attended law school at Seattle University, during which time he worked for the prestigious plaintiff’s litigation firm Carney Badley Spellman, and also, having passed the Tulalip Nation’s bar exam, as a prosecutor for the Tulalip Indian Nation.  Having come from a rural setting, and having tasted the fruits of Seattle and Washington D.C., Rajeev had long set his sights on Whatcom County as the perfect setting for the best of both worlds.  After working for the State’s Division of Child Support in Seattle, and taking the time to find the perfect fit, he accepted a position with the Whatcom Law Group in 2008, became a Partner in 2013, and Managing Partner in 2019.  His practice focuses on business transactions and formations.  He also serves as the City Prosecutor of Blaine.  He served as a pro-tem Superior Court Commissioner for Whatcom County on an ongoing basis from 2013 until 2016, at which time he ran for and was elected to the Washington State Bar Association's Board of Governors to represent District #2.  In 2018, he was elected to be President of the WSBA for the 2019-2020 term.. When not working, Rajeev spends time with his wife and daughter in the outdoors.  He serves on the boards of a number of non-profits committed to serving the indigent in our community.

Raised in Whatcom County, Casie graduated from the University of Portland where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Social Work. Casie went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. After completing her social work degree, Casie worked as a medical social worker for several years. Seeing the legal complexities that many of her clients faced, Casie sought to become a lawyer.. Casie earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law. In law school, Casie worked with the Honorable Mark W. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, and as an intern with the Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. After law school, Casie worked in private criminal defense in Whatcom and Skagit counties with the Law Firm of David N. Jolly. There she assisted clients with misdemeanor criminal offenses and navigating licensing issues. In 2020, Casie joined the Whatcom Law Group where she primarily focuses on family law, criminal defense, and general civil litigation.

Growing up in Grainger County, Tennessee, I have many years experience working with the people of this county from tomato farming to legal issues and taxes.  My parents are Margaret and J.C. Jones of Rutledge.. My husband and I love our animals.  This is our horse, Elmer.  We also have two donkeys, Jellibean and Babybell, and a ShihTzu, named Piddles.. My daughter is Casey Lett, and I have two grand children, Isaac and Maryah.

Born and raised in Aberdeen, Washington, Alejandra moved to Bellingham in 2014 to attend Western Washington University. Alejandra graduated from Western in 2018 with an undergraduate degree, where she created her own area of focus at Fairhaven College in Law, Diversity, and Justice, focusing on Immigration Outreach and Cultural Studies. She also received a minor in American Cultural Studies from Western. While at Western, Alejandra coordinated legal aid clinics and a citizenship day during her senior year. Alejandra is a native Spanish speaker and was an interpreter at the legal aid clinics she coordinated.. After graduating, Alejandra worked as an immigration paralegal at a law firm in Mount Vernon for two years. There she worked on asylum cases, U-visa cases, cancellation of removal cases, VAWA cases, adjustment of status cases, family-based petitions, and L-1A visas. While working as an immigration paralegal, she was encouraged by her supervising attorney to go to law school.. In 2020, Alejandra went to Idaho to pursue her law degree at the University of Idaho College of Law. While in law school, Alejandra served as the Chief Moscow Editor to the Idaho Law Review, the student representative to the Technology Committee, a Fellow for Academic Success in Property and Criminal law, a volunteer in the VITA Tax clinic, and as an interpreter for the Legal Aid Clinic. Alejandra was the President of the Latino/a Law Caucus during her third year in law school. As president, she helped organize the Othello Project, where students go to Othello, Washington, and provide a legal aid clinic to the farm workers. Alejandra collaborated with the NorthWest Immigration Rights Project and NorthWest Justice Project to provide information and resources to the farmworkers in Othello. Alejandra also worked in the Immigration Clinic as a legal intern, where she and a fellow student represented an asylum seeker at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.. After earning her Juris Doctorate, Alejandra and her husband moved back to Washington. She worked as a Rule 9 Intern with North County Public Defense, where she assisted clients with misdemeanor criminal offenses prior to joining Whatcom Law Group.

A Texas native, Matt originally moved to Whatcom County in 2017 where he worked for a local non-profit organization in Bellingham.. In 2020, Matt returned to Texas to pursue his law degree at South Texas College of Law Houston. While in school, Matt served on the Journal of International Economic Law’s Editorial Board, the Dean’s Advisory Board, and volunteered with Texas Law Help. He participated in family law and access to justice clinics, and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Angela Graves-Harrington of the 246th District Court in Houston.. After earning his Juris Doctorate, Matt and his family were thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Washington where he began his legal career with Whatcom Law Group.. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Nina, and their two cats/roommates, Millicent and Mouse. He takes every opportunity to be outside and is most often found biking Galbraith, skiing Baker, losing his way on a hike, or (in case of rain) trying to convince someone to go bowling with him.
