Ryan moved to the South Carolina Lowcountry with his family in 1991 where he attended middle school and high school on Hilton Head Island. After graduating from Hilton Head High School, Ryan attended The College of Charleston and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2001. Ryan then attended law school at Mississippi College School of Law where he received his law degree in 2005. While there, Ryan met his wife, Tiffany, who is also an attorney. Ryan and his family moved back to Bluffton in 2008 and spent several years as the Executive Director of Lowcountry Legal Volunteers before accepting a position with Bullard and Friedman in 2012. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Planning and a Minor in Political Science in 2010.  She then went on to obtain her Paralegal Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011. After a year of working in an Estate Planning and Elder Law Firm in Cornelius, NC, Ashley attended and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2015, with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and a Children’s Law Certificate.. While in Law School, Ashley focused her studies on Estate Planning and Elder Law. She received the highest grade in her Estate Planning course in the Fall of 2014. Furthermore, Ashley was selected as the 2015 recipient of the Albert C. Todd, Estate Planning Award for her interest and ability in estate planning, and for possessing personal qualities which Albert Todd exemplified.
