I went to law school after 15 years seeing patients as a physician.  As a physician, I testified on numerous cases regarding patient injuries and treatment.  It was through that experience that I developed a love for all things legal and decided to go back to school for a second round and study law.. I started my career as a Disability Representative long before law school. I began first as a non-attorney claimants' representative and helped with well over 1,000 successful claims throughout the western states before I ever earned my law degree and started practicing as an attorney. Once I was able to open my own office and function fully as an attorney representative, I chose to remain in a small office so that I could work directly with my own clients. I grew up drag racing my father's 1972 Plymouth Duster that, to this day, has less than 30,000 original miles (a quarter mile at a time). I have fully restored a 1972 Westsail 32 sailboat, driven a dirt bike across Patagonia, South America, and studied Spanish in Barcelona, Spain. I enjoy coding in Javascript (VueJS), woodworking, and MIG welding in my workshop. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family.. I graduated with B.A.'s in Political Science, History, and Spanish from the University of Idaho in 2004. After graduation I worked for Canyon County Prosecutor's Office as a victim witness coordinator.  In 2007, I enrolled at the University of Oregon School of Law and in 2009 graduated with my Juris Doctorate. Following law school, I returned to the Treasure Valley where I spent four years with the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.. In 2013, I began her criminal defense and family law career.. I was raised in southwestern Idaho on a dairy farm, I grew up picking rock, hauling hay, feeding calves, and milking cows.  I learned about hard work and dedication at a young age, which has carried over to my legal career. I now resides in Boise with my beautiful family who love to camp, raft, snowboard, watch and play sports. I recently retired from roller derby and now I coach a middle school volleyball team, as well as, play both co-ed and women's recreation volleyball.

I am a builder, maker, entrepreneur, and the founder of DeAtley Law, PLLC. I grew up in a business family – I would have been the fifth generation operating my family’s surface mining and aggregate business. I am a bankruptcy attorney in Boise, Idaho, and also represent clients in California.. I got into bankruptcy law because when I was growing up we lost our house to foreclosure and later we also got evicted from another house. We were on welfare off and on. Financial problems never seemed to cease when I was a kid. I have real empathy for what my clients are going through. I know first hand how scary it can be. Although my parents did not have the tools to prevent some of the hardships, I now have the tools under the Bankruptcy Code to help my clients avoid some of the outcomes I had to deal with as a kid..
