Buchanan & Associates was created by Jamy Buchanan Madeja as a small, enviornmental and land use focused speciality law practice after she served as General Counsel for Environmental Affairs to Governor William F. Weld, preceded by a time as an associate at MintzLevin, in Boston. Ms. Madeja provides sophisticated, experienced counsel for clients ranging from neighborhood associates to development entities, usually with envioronmental permitting or enforcement needs or concerns throughout Massachusetts.  She has been recognized by her peers as one of the Top 50 Women in Law in Massachusetts and multiple times as a SuperLawyer in her practice area.  She is married with two children and lives in Rockport, Massachusetts.

Bryan practices in the area of civil litigation and insurance defense with a focus on toxic tort and complex products liability litigation, representing companies as both local and national coordinating counsel. Bryan has experience defending personal injury and property damage claims in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.. Prior to joining Cetrulo & Capone LLP, Bryan worked as an associate at a large Boston law firm practicing in corporate transactional, debt financing, and securities matters.  Bryan has also represented clients pro bono in hearings before the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance.. When away from the office, Bryan enjoys playing golf, reading, and watching baseball.

Brian J. MacDonough, chair of the Employment Department, counsels and represents executives and professionals in sophisticated employment and compensation matters and employment litigation.. He handles a wide range of matters, including contract negotiation and enforcement, discrimination, whistleblowing, wage and hour issues, and wrongful termination. In particular, Brian advises executives and professionals regarding employment agreements, change of control agreements, equity and deferred compensation vehicles, non-competition and other restrictive covenants, severance /separation terms, and transition agreements.

Brian Freer concentrates his practice in the Firm’s personal injury, products liability, financial and insurance fraud areas, as well as asbestos and mesothelioma claims.
