People deserve someone they can talk to about private legal matters who will help them navigate what can be a very scary process. I went to law school with the idea I could help people and be their voice. I spent the first 21 years of my career with the Bozeman City Attorney's Office as a prosecutor. Then I retired to go into private practice, looking to serve in a different way. After serving the citizens of my home community and the victims of crime, I am now able to assist people with issues of a different sort.. When I left a larger local governmental entity in 2013, my partner and I formed Younkin & Wordal, PLLC. As of 2016 we merged with the firm with which we shared office space and became, McLean, Younkin & Willett, PLLC. In 2017, I left to explore other options as Wordal Law PLLC, and because I was drawn back into governmental work for a smaller local government and didn't feel the office space was worth the cost.. As a 2nd generation Montana attorney, and an attorney who serves on the State Bar Ethics Committee as my father did, I am proud to serve a community close to my family roots in MT, and to continue to provide my clients with fair and knowledgeable representation. Because of my service to the State Bar, I cannot take cases involving ethics issues, because we determine interpretation for much of the ethics rules. I'm careful to try to point people in the right direction when they ask.
