Jim received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1968 from Kettering University, (formerly General Motors Institute) in Flint Michigan. While at GMI, he was a member and officer of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and served on the Student Government Council. He received a Juris Doctor in 1973 from Michigan State University Law School (formerly Detroit College of Law).. Jim has maintained a solo practice in Southeast Michigan since 1975. His practice is devoted to Estate Planning, Probate and Elder Law. He is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning, Elder Law and Master Lawyer Sections of the Michigan State Bar. He was also accredited by the Veterans Administration.Jim has served several communities in the capacity of the Tax Board of Review Tribunal, as a member of the Economic Development Commission, and currently serves as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Canton, Michigan.
