Sheila Mikhail is the founder and managing member of several successful entrepreneurial ventures in the life sciences sector. Trained as a lawyer, she is founder and managing member of Life Sciences Law (LSL), a highly profitable boutique law firm focusing solely on the needs of biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. In addition, Sheila has founded several biotech and medical device companies, including Asklepios BioPharmaceutical Inc., NanoCor Therapeutics, Inc., ZumaTek, Inc., InnerOptic Technologies, Inc., and Novati Investments, LLC.Previously, Sheila has participated as an adviser in the Launching the Company program at UNC-Chapel Hill, which assists professors and university researchers in spinning out their technologies into new companies.
