I have been a family law attorney for over 19 years, and I am a NC DRC Certified Family Financial Mediator.  I am hopeful that through litigation and mediation that I can assist families in resolving their domestic disputes in the most efficient and effective manner.

I grew up watching several of my own family members navigate the path of divorce and I witnessed how it affected and changed the trajectory of their lives. I believe the family unit is of the utmost importance, so I decided to become a family law attorney to help people get to the other side of divorce with peace and dignity. I practice solely in family law. This means all of my practice is devoted to working with families. I handle all types of family law cases including child custody, child support, divorce, alimony, domestic violence, equitable distribution, separation agreements, and mediation. I'm a problem solver at heart. And I believe that many cases can be settled through the mediation process. I'm also competitive and I won't give up easily. I concentrate 100% of my practice on representing clients in Social Security Disability and SSI claims.  I assist clients with their initial application, appeals, Adminstrative Law Judge hearings and Appeals Council appeals.. I am certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in Social Security Disability Law; currently one of 41 lawyers state-wide to achieve this distinction. I am available for consultations on all Social Security Disability law issues.. I am a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) Disability Advocacy section and a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).

I am from Winston-Salem, NC, where I attended RJ Reynolds High School. I received a Bachelors of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and upon completion attended Campbell University where I graduated in 1995. While at Campbell I finished first in my class in trial advocacy as well as two other subjects.I knew early on that my passion was trying cases in the courtroom. I was also drawn to criminal defense because I believe criminal defense lawyers are the guardians of our Constitution and our civil liberties. During law school, I worked at the Appellate Defender’s office where I assisted with death penalty appeals. I have also worked at the Federal Public Defender’s office where I assisted with Federal defense cases. After graduating from law school, I joined the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s office where I worked for over two years. While there, I gained invaluable courtroom experience that continues to serve me to this day. In June of 1998, I opened my own practice where I focus on all criminal and traffic matters.I give 110% to every client regardless of the type of case. I am a native Charlottean, having graduated from Myers Park High School.  I did my undergraduate studies at UNC-Charlotte, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration, major in Marketing, as well as a B.A. in Spanish.  While there, I studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain through a program with UNC-Chapel Hill.  I graduated from the Charlotte School of Law as class valedictorian in the first graduating class.  While there, I studied abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland through a program with William Mitchell College of Law.. After graduating from law school, I began practicing misdemeanor criminal defense matters and plaintiff’s side civil litigation before opening my own practice, focusing primarily on family law.. Since opening our doors in 2010, we have helped hundreds of clients through the tough times that often come along with family law issues.  We believe in fighting hard for our clients and being there for them when they need us most.

Daniel is a senior associate attorney at Elliot Morgan Parsonage, PLLC in the firm's Charlotte office located in the historic Dilworth neighborhood just outside of Uptown Charlotte. He focuses his practice primarily in employment litigation represeting indiviuals in state and federal court.  His practice focuses on claims involving Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and various state law claims associated with employment. Ann is a member of bikelaw, a national network dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of cyclists in the Carolinas, and beyond. Ann is an advocate for bicycle safety, and stands up for cyclists’ rights on the roads and in court.. Ann graduated with honors and received a degree in engineering arts from Michigan State University. In 1994, she graduated cum laude from Tulane University School of Law where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, she was an editor on the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and was a Public Interest Law Foundation grant recipient. Ann worked first with the North Carolina Center for Death Penalty Litigation and then with the Cumberland County Public Defender’s Office until she opened her own practice in Fayetteville in 1998.
