DRE includes a number of different tests, field sobriety tests (some of which are also used to determine alcohol intoxication) as well as physiological tests, (such as those which measure the dilation of the suspect’s pupils, blood pressure, internal clock, etc...)  This training allows Mr. Brock to not only assess whether an arrest has been done properly for alcohol impairment but also allows him to stop officer's from making claims that they suspected there may have been other drugs involved as well.. I was born in Chicago Illinois, and had a great childhood in Chicago in a large family.  When I graduated high school I worked three years in a steel mill while attending college part-time.  I eventually joined the military to finish my schooling on the GI bill.  In the Army, I worked as an operating room technician (handing the surgical instruments to the surgeon) for 3 and 1/2 years in a military hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii (a wonderful assignment as you might expect).  As planned, I finished schooling after I left the military, and the GI bill funded my tuition all the way through law school at Southern Illinois University.  I am forever grateful that I was afforded that luxury that so many others are not.  Upon my graduation from law school in 1986, I returned to the U.S. Army as a JAGC attorney, where I practiced as a criminal defense attorney at Ft.
