While I have been licensed for about 20 years, I have been in the real estate industry for over 26! I have learned from what I consider the "best of the best" from a high volume boutique law firm, in the peak real estate years, to general counsel, to one of the largest and highest volume producing real estate firms in this state, during the REO boom. I truly love what I do and any colleague, friend or client can attest to same. I am passionate about my clients and their matters, whether it is real estate, landlord- tenant, Guardian ad Litem, or Estate Planning. Each and every client's concerns and case counts, because, at the end of the day, we are all people, and what concerns my clients, also concerns me.
While attending school at the University of Dayton School of Law, I focused on gaining as much practical experience as possible. Clubs and the Law Review sounded nice on paper, but I wanted the practical experience you just cannot get in school. I initially clerked for a small civil litigation firm. Later, I worked closely with a solo criminal defense attorney on a variety of cases ranging from traffic violations to rape. During this time, I learned the fundamentals of being an effective criminal defense advocate.Upon graduating law school, I came back home to Chicago to study for the bar exam. I quickly inserted myself in the criminal defense arena by joining the Chicago Bar Association’s Criminal Defense Committee as well as the Young Lawyers Section. At the same time, I was reaching out to every Chicago defense attorney to volunteer my time and learn new skills. I've had the opportunity to try a variety of cases including a felon in possession of a handgun jury, and a murder jury.Currently, my practice is located in the West Loop of Chicago. I focus on criminal law, although I take on any case that involves complex litigation. I love getting in front of a judge or jury. When I am not practicing, I like to volunteer my time as a mentor to local youth on probation.

When people find themselves in need of help navigating the at-times complicated area of personal injury law, attorney Paul Ciesielski is dedicated to providing that assistance. He recognizes that not everyone knows what to do following a Chicago car accident, truck crash, health care error, or another incident. He is passionate about helping clients deal with their trauma by walking them through the legal process step-by-step, and by providing aggressive representation when necessary.. Paul attended John Marshall Law School (JMLS) in Chicago, where he gained valuable knowledge, as well as relevant experience outside of the classroom. He worked as a law clerk for two firms, where he prepared various motions, worked on different personal injury matters, shadowed attorneys, and more. This experience laid a strong foundation for his legal career.. In addition to his work as a clerk, Paul volunteered at JMLS Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic. Here, he assisted veterans with Benefit Claims Appeals and Discharge Upgrades. Often, those he helped were suffering from health issues related to their service, and they needed an advocate who would assist them in navigating the legal process. The veterans he helped at the JMLS Center & Clinic are much like the clients he aids at Staver Accident Injury Lawyers, P.C. – they have all suffered some sort of harm, don’t know what to do, and need someone to help them with the complex issues that arise in Chicago personal injury cases.

When Benton Page decided to practice matrimonial and family law, he realized the differences between this challenging field and other kinds of litigation and transaction: "It is never boring," he says. "Every case requires me to learn more about some aspect of the law, as well as about people and other fields that otherwise I would know nothing about." And during divorces, he adds, "People need a lot of hand-holdingmore than in situations related to other legal matters. I have clients who call every single day, and I'm glad to talk with them. But I insist on keeping one foot in front of the other and resolving each of their matters as quickly as possible.". Even though the field of divorce law is different from other specialties in certain respects, he notes that it continues to evolve. "Divorce has always been an emotional ordeal. It is moving into a different environment, however, just like the rest of civil practice, which is less emotional, with people actually following the rules.". "Philosophically, family law has been at the forefront of the movement towards collaboration, mediation and cooperative settlements," Page observes. But he admits that this area is still very people-sensitive; and it's the last frontier when it comes to using modern courtroom technology. Even so, family law is catching up, and more efficient processes save time and help clients, "who are always in a hurry to get to the end of the process.". In Page's view, there are two distinct types of clients he sees: those who are deeply worried about their and their childrens futures and those who "just want to get divorced." In both categories, however, clients are surprised by how long the process takes. "A contested divorce often lasts longer than a year," he explains, "because the information-gathering process alone takes a long time."
