I grew up in a large NAVY family.  My father flew out of Tampa's MacDill Air Force Base in the sixties and I fell in love with the Tampa Bay community.  After law school at our nation's first law school, William and Mary, I came back to Florida to pursue my legal career with a passion for helping out individuals and families.  I really enjoy the waterfront lifestyle here.  I am a marathon swimmer and live aboard a 48 foot yacht in a marina at Clearwater Beach, Florida.. I am so blessed to have a strong and long serving staff that makes client communication a top priority.. My greatest joy is to work alongside my clients to help them plan for the future.  It is amazing to see the relief that clomes from a successful conclusion, whether it be a recovery from a bad stockbroker, the completion of an estate or the preparation of an estate plan that fits the client's circumstances with precision.

I am in my own Solo Private Law practice.. Have extensive experience in  Criminal Law, and Family Law.. I have experience outside my Legal Practice as well.  I am well rounded. This has given me insight in working with different people outside my chosen legal field.. From 1998 to 2005 , I took a hiatus from the practice of law to teach Elementary Physical Education in Pinellas County , Florida. I also worked extensively for the US Census in 2010 as an enumerator, Office Manager in Recruiting, Crew Leader, and finally Field Operation Supervisor for the entire South Tampa Area for Nonresponsive Followup, a position of great responsibility. I had 8 crew leaders and 80+ enumerators under me. I had a huge role in the success of the 2010 Census in the Tampa Area.

I am a partner in the law firm of Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel and Burns, LLP.  I have been at the firm for 25 years. Brandon and his wife Dawn have two sons, two daughters, and a smattering of grandchildren. They also have a Great Dane, a Coconut Lab, a Black Goldendoodle, a Maltese, and two spoiled cats. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family, exploring underwater caves and shipwrecks, visiting National Parks, watching college football (Go Gamecocks!) and other sports, playing music (trumpet, percussion, and guitar), flying, skydiving, traveling, and attempting to cook good BBQ.
