In true instances where a state official is seen clearly violating the rights of a private citizen, I feel it is important for people to have someone to protect their rights and make certain that persons are held accountable. While I fully support law enforcement, bad officers give the good ones a bad reputation. That is why I have directed more of my professional efforts toward representing citizens who have had their civil rights violated by overzealous, unprofessional officers. I was born in 1953 and raised in Garfield Heights, Ohio. I graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1971. I wrestled, played football and baseball. I attended Ohio University and graduated summa cum laude, with Honors in Government, a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I graduated from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1978.
