Wes Larsen joined the James, Vernon & Weeks team in early 2011. He attended graduate school and law school at Gonzaga University, where he worked for Gonzaga's general practice law clinic, completed an externship for Spokane County Superior Court, and served as an associate editor of the Gonzaga Law Review. Before law school, Wes graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Spanish minor. He also did extensive volunteer work in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. He is actively involved in his local community and has served as vice president of a nonprofit board. He lives with his wife and children in Spokane, Washington.

Mike Ealy is a partner with Ramsden, Marfice, Ealy & Harris, LLP in Coeur d'Alene. He practices in the areas of civil litigation, including construction law, construction defect litigation and arbitration, real estate law and boundary dispute litigation and contract law. He is also a certified civil mediator. Mike is a long-time resident of North Idaho, growing up in Spirit Lake and graduating from Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.

Lisa brings almost a decade of criminal defense litigation experience to the firm’s team.  She has spent the much of her career in a courtroom and advocates for and works to protect her client’s constitutional rights.  Lisa has partnered with Sean, a member of our team, on several complex criminal defense cases and teamed with Alexandria, another firm member, to work on challenging family law issues and involved family law legal proceedings.. After law school Lisa went into private practice in southern Idaho; while with her firm, Lisa practiced criminal defense law.  After a couple of years, she strategically chose to expand her legal acumen, and in 2009 Lisa became a prosecutor in North Idaho.  However, as a serious advocate for due process rights, Lisa returned to criminal defense work and became a public defender for a well-regarded public defender’s offices in the State of Idaho, the Kootenai County Public Defender’s Office.  This position required Lisa to spend an extensive amount of time in a courtroom trying both   misdemeanor and felony cases; thus, the courtroom has become a comfortable arena for her while also exponentially increasing her litigation skills.. In 2016 Lisa brought her years of experience back to the private sector and today litigates both misdemeanor and felony cases.  She has also extended her negotiation and trial skills to family law clients.  She is a valuable member of our team and is focused on our clients’ needs.. Currently, Lisa accepts State and Federal criminal defense cases as well family law matters, and she handles cases throughout all of North Idaho.

I have served clients in North Idaho for over 34 years with my work in real estate, business and commercial transactions, corporate law, and government relations. I was an Idaho State Senator from 1989 to 1994 and served as Assistant Minority Leader in 1993-1994. I was appointed by the Idaho State Bar to a six-year term on the Idaho Judicial Council, completing my service in 2005.. I handle a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as counseling numerous small to national-sized companies on issues including contracts, commercial transactions, real estate acquisition and development, employment matters and corporate law.. I currently chair Coeur d'Alene, Idaho's urban renewal agency board in a volunteer capacity.  I also serve on the University of Idaho College Law Advisory Council.. I have extensive experience representing lenders in creditor's rights cases, bankruptcy proceedings and prosecuting adversary proceedings pertaining to bankruptcy cases.  These proceedings include successfully litigating creditor's claims pertaining to non-dischargeability of debt and objections to discharge due to debtor misconduct.  Furthermore, a significant portion of my practice includes insurance defense, employment law, and tort litigation.  I also handle a wide variety of other matters which include commercial litigation and real estate litigation as well.
