Michael B. In law school Jillian was a member of the Mugel National Tax Moot Court Team and the Gonzaga Journal of International Law; Jillian was awarded the top grade in Legal Research and Writing, Estate Planning, Community Property, Criminal Procedure, and Animal Law.. Following law school, Jillian served two years serving as law clerk to the Honorable Benjamin Simpson, District Judge, First Judicial District of the State of Idaho. I was appointed by the Idaho State Bar to a six-year term on the Idaho Judicial Council, completing my service in 2005.. I handle a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as counseling numerous small to national-sized companies on issues including contracts, commercial transactions, real estate acquisition and development, employment matters and corporate law.. I currently chair Coeur d'Alene, Idaho's urban renewal agency board in a volunteer capacity.  I also serve on the University of Idaho College Law Advisory Council.. I have extensive experience representing lenders in creditor's rights cases, bankruptcy proceedings and prosecuting adversary proceedings pertaining to bankruptcy cases.  These proceedings include successfully litigating creditor's claims pertaining to non-dischargeability of debt and objections to discharge due to debtor misconduct.  Furthermore, a significant portion of my practice includes insurance defense, employment law, and tort litigation.  I also handle a wide variety of other matters which include commercial litigation and real estate litigation as well.

April graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.    After receiving her bachelor’s agree she worked for a national retailer beginning with attending an in-house executive MBA program and then proceeding into a broad spectrum of positions including, management, human resource management and trainer focused on the development of front-line and mid-level managers’ best practices to minimize risk of legal exposure.. April left the fast paced retail environment to pursue a career in the legal field. April entered law school at Gonzaga University School of Law, obtaining her law degree.. Currently, April is one of four partners at Owens, McCrea and Linscott, where she practices general civil litigation focusing on litigation in employment law, real estate, business disputes and probate.. April is also a trained mediator.  She has assisted her client’s achieve results whether through alternative dispute resolution, litigation or appeal.. Her hobbies include: riding horseback, skiing, mountain climbing, backpacking and going to the gym.
