While in Atlantic, Iowa I worked simultaneously as the City Attorney for both Atlantic and Audubon, Iowa and as the Assistant Cass County Attorney where is specialized in misdemeanors and juvenile Court. A native New Yorker, Clyde grew up on Long Island. Tired of the cold weather, Clyde decided to attend law school in Miami. After a couple of years, Clyde realized he missed living in a city that had four seasons; however, he was conflicted about returning to New York, as he did not miss the traffic. Clyde compromised on Colorado, where he has practiced family law for four years where he has helped many clients through a difficult and uncertain period of their lives.. Prior to attending law school, Clyde worked as a litigation paralegal for Animal Rights Attorney. Together they represented dogs who were deemed dangerous and scheduled to be euthanized by local towns. Using state pet trust statutes, they were able to gain legal standing to represent the dog, rather than the original owner. Representing the dog rather than the owner made many of the local towns more willing to settle their cases as the towns did not have to fear the dog being returned to an often irresponsible dog owner.. A common failing among family law attorneys is that they do not spend enough time with their clients going over the facts. I believe it is an attorney’s job to comprehend their client’s struggles and convey those struggles to the court in a clear and concise manner. Presently, I am a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve, stationed at Peterson AFB, CO.. I graduated Law School from Marquette University in 2009, was awarded my Juris Doctorate, and was admitted to the Wisonsin and Colorado Bars that year. While at Marquette I was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu (Jesuit Honor Society) and the Marquette Pro Bono Society.  Additionally, I interned for the Wisconsin Supreme Court-Justice Patience Roggensack.. In 2010, I accepted a position as a Deptuty District Attorney in the 9th Judicial District and prosecuted misdemeanor and felony level crimes.  Since August 2012, I have been practicing predominantly Family Law.  However, I have also practiced criminal defense, as a deputy municipal prosecutor, and as court appointed counsel for Dependency and Neglect and contempt defense.. As a child of divorce, an Air Force officer, family man, and a driven attorney, I believe that my personal and professional experiences aid me in relating to clients.
