Nancy earned her B. A., cum laude – Economics, from Denison University and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1979.  She then continued her education at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, was a member of the Cleveland State Law Review (1980-1982), and served as Issue Editor (1981-82).  During her law studies, she was also the research assistant to the Dean of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (1979-1982), and graduated in 1982 with her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude..
