A Colorado native, Chris Tzortzis was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins where he received his B.A. in Spanish, International Affairs, and a minor in Business. After his studies in Fort Collins, Chris moved to Akron, Ohio to pursue his law degree at the University of Akron, School of Law. While in Akron, Chris gained exposure to the transactional practice of law at the law school's legal business clinic where he advised local start-ups, non-profits, and small businesses in a variety of industries. While working with the business clinic’s clients, Chris gained an appreciation in helping entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of the legal system to give them peace of mind in their practice while pursuing their dreams and passions. While in Akron, Chris also spent a summer working at the University of Akron Research Foundation where he drafted, reviewed, and negotiated business contracts for the College of Polymer Science, and experienced firsthand how vital contracts are to protect one’s interest in their intellectual property, research, business interests, and innovations. After graduating from the University of Akron, School of Law in 2012, Chris moved back to Colorado to practice law. Shortly thereafter, he was sworn in to the Colorado bar and got his start at Stathopulos & Associates, P.C. working primarily with physician practices, estate planning, business and corporate formation, and a variety of other matters to serve small and mid-sized businesses, and individuals. In 2015, Chris decided a transition was in order, and founded Tzortzis Law Firm, PLLC. Initially Chris served as in-house legal counsel to a credit repair organization and an advertisement technology start-up and decided that he loved working with businesses that were starting from the ground floor. The excitement of starting a business and putting forth the time and effort to create products and services that contribute to society is a beautiful thing. Chris has been serving to meet the needs of small businesses and individuals ever since, with the goal of providing accessible legal counsel and a sense of security through the quality of services he provides. In his spare time, Chris enjoys challenging himself by hiking 14-ers and running races, exploring the ever-expanding urban landscapes, serving as Secretary of the Board at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Denver, travelling locally and abroad as often as possible, and spending time with family. Chris loves meeting new people and hearing about their life experiences, gaining exposure to different viewpoints and perspectives, and learning as much as he can.Chris looks forward to meeting you and helping you with your legal needs.
