Growing up on a farm taught me the value of hard work, tenacity, and integrity. These values have shaped my life and continue to motivate me as an attorney. I’ve worked in the public and private sectors and have handled a broad range of cases involving criminal law, real property disputes, employment discrimination, employment termination disputes, breach of contract, civil rights, family law, personal injury, and wrongful death. My rural upbringing and broad exposure to the law have given me a unique perspective that I use to get the best possible results for my clients.
Growing up in Oklahoma, I was frequently invovled with children and education. Apart from the usual babysitting, I was also very involved helping with my mother's first grade classroom. I attended Booker T. Washington High School, which is a nationally recognized magnet school. After graduation, I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an associated minor in Philosophy from UNM. I began attending the University of Denver College of Law in 2000, from which I received my Juris Doctorate in 2003.. I did not take the traditional path to becoming an attorney, however. After graduating from the University of Denver I moved to Dillon, Colorado. Prior to becoming a dedicated family law attorney, I was a children's snowboard instructor for Breckenridge Ski Resort for four years. I returned to Denver in 2008 to briefly work for a personal injury firm. I did not find that personal injury was a good fit for me. I began doing intern work for Colorado Legal Services/Metro Volunteer Lawyers in 2009. This is where I received my introduction to family law. I began working for myself in 2010 and have not looked back.. I truly am dedicated to helping people through their divorces, custody issues and all other aspects that involve family law. The cases are seldom easy from an emotional standpoint. Being a mother, myself, to three young children I understand the heartache that can result from having to share custody of your children. However, I also understand the importance of having both parents being invloved in the children's lives. I offer caring and zealous representation and promise to never stop doing my very best for Colorado families.

From mock trials and unique classes in high school to an Associate Justice in Gonzaga’s student government, Nikolas (Nik) knew he was going to be a trial attorney for as long as he can remember. He was trying to work in criminal law before the pandemic, but hiring freezes in local governments led him to a personal injury job. Nik was pleasantly surprised – "From my first client interaction, I knew this was what I was meant to do.". During law school, Nikolas worked for the Deputy Civil Chief at the US Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York, and worked on high-profile cases such as DACA and the Purdue Pharmaceutical MDL while there. That externship exposed and prepared him for high volumes of incredibly complex and important work. This is where he perfected the habit of paying very close attention to detail, working very efficiently, and being willing to take on things he had never done or heard of to make sure that the work assigned was completed. The externship was also highly sought–after-, which meant that you had to be willing to put in the hours and tackle assignments that you would otherwise not likely see until you were years into practice.. He second-chaired his first jury trial for the victim of a motor vehicle accident in 2021 that resulted in a plaintiff’s verdict in the 6 figures. Nik’s biggest takeaway from that trial was that being in the courtroom was where he belonged.
From early on in his life, Roman was a problem solver. He is the person his family and friends seek out when they need some well-thought-out advice.. Roman immigrated to the United States with his family when he was nine years old. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2007. Before that Roman went to Regis University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration and Finance. Roman worked in the financial field for several years at Merrill Lynch as a financial adviser before entering law school.. What Roman likes best about working in the field of auto injury recovery is getting to know his clients and working with them to meet their needs as he pursues their personal injury claim. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Roman was involved in a couple of motor vehicle accidents himself. His experience dealing with the insurance companies and attorneys after those accidents makes him understand the case from the client’s perspective.. Roman is genuinely concerned and interested in your difficult situation; how to start to repair some of the damage in your life created through an accident that was not your fault. He strives to achieve that “symbol of justice”, a solid settlement for you. A cash settlement can never be true justice, but it symbolizes an important step, a financial boost on your road to recovery.. In his spare time, Roman enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is an active member of his community and supports several non-profit organizations through donations and volunteering. Roman and his family are strong believers in giving back to the community and supporting all those around us. Roman also enjoys riding his motorcycle and taking it to the beautiful Colorado mountains. He is very passionate about helping children and is a long time contributor to Children’s Hospital of Colorado.
