Kate attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, graduating with a buiness degree after studying abroad for one year in Hamburg, Germany. After ASU, she attended Drake Law School, where she completed her education in May 2018. While at Drake, Kate was involved in the Animal Rights group as the vice president and the International Law Socitety as the vice president. She also took on clients at the Drake legal clinic for criminal defense for simple misdemeanors including theft, harassment, and possession. Kate's last summer of law school was spent studying law in Nantes, France for the summer participating in mediations with international students and learning about European Union law.. Throughout law school, Kate worked for two law firms as a Law Clerk specializing in debt collection and family law. Kate was admitted to practice in the state of Iowa in September of 2018 before starting a career as an attorney at McCormally & Cosgrove in Des Moines.. In her free time, Kate likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel and learning new languages, horseback riding, running, and volunteering at animal shelters.
I enjoy practicing law and getting to know my clients' needs. I believe that a client should always understand what is going on in their case, and be an active participant. Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family and friends, swim, and enjoy ice cream as much as humanly possible.
