Steadman Shealy played quarterback for the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant at the University of Alabama and led the Alabama Crimson Tide to back-to-back National Championships for the 1978 and 1979 seasons. In 1979, Mr. Shealy was voted Most Valuable Player in the SEC, All SEC and Academic All SEC. Mr. Shealy continues to apply Coach Bryant’s winning philosophies in his personal and professional life.. Mr. Shealy was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama where he attended Dothan High School and played football. Mr. Shealy was the valedictorian of his graduating class. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Alabama on a football scholarship where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and graduated cum laude in 1980.. Mr. Shealy received his law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1984 where he was a member of the school’s National Trial Advocacy Team. While attending law school, he also worked as a graduate assistant coach for Paul “Bear” Bryant. Mr. Shealy was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1984.. Mr. Shealy has been presented with the prestigious Toastmasters International Communication and Leadership Award for public speaking and is highly sought after as a motivational speaker throughout the Southeast.. I am a husband and father of five wonderful children.  I am a Sunday School teacher at First United Methodist Church in Dothan.  I have been practicing law since 1998.  I started off as an insurance defense lawyer working for two great attorneys, Herman Cobb and Steadman Shealy.  Herman and Steadman taught me a great deal about the practice of law and I am forever indebted to them.  After four years as a defense lawyer, I changed firms and started representing injured people almost exclusively.  I became law partners with Joey Morris, Tracy Cary, Mark Andrews and Cory Driggers.  I am proud to work with these men, all of whom are committed to zealous and ethical representation of people in need of help.  Our office is in Dothan, but we handle cases in the surrounding area from Montgomery to Columbus to Albany to Tallahassee.  We try to remain faithful to our values in a profession where it is sometimes hard to do that.  We have been privileged to represent some of the most wonderful people in the Wiregrass.  We thank them for putting their trust in us.  We look forward to many more years of serving the people in our community.
