I was raised in the Greater Philadelphia area, and attended school at Temple University. I obtained my undergraduate and masters degrees there, and then moved to Dover, Delaware to teach physics and calculus at Wesley College. After several years, I went back to school. I attended Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, NJ and took and passed the Delaware bar in 1974. I worked at a local Dover law firm called Schmittinger & Rodriguez for a year and then started my own practice. I have been in practice in Dover, Delaware continuously since 1974.. I had three kids - Ben, Josh, and Rebecca. Ben became a lawyer, and now he is the managing partner of our law firm. Josh became an automotive racing engine designer and builder, and owns and operates High Horse Performance Racing in Smyrna, DE. And Rebecca became a teacher and obtained her Ed.D.. I really enjoy the practice of law. It gives me a sense of accomplishment to help people with their problems. And the breadth and variety of legal issues I deal with create a constant challenge, which I feel exhilarating.

At heart, I am a teacher. That's what happens when you come from a family full of educators. When a client comes in, I listen to their story and ask a lot of questions. Then, I explain their legal situation to them and give them a "road map" of how their case will likely play out. When a client's doctor doesn't explain their medical condition to them very well, I give them more information so they can understand what's happening to their body. When they don't understand a medical procedure, I'll explain that to them as well. I'll explain to them how to obtain lost wages and what their insurance covers (and doesn't cover). When they finish treating, I'll review their records and explain the case's likely settlement value, negotiation strategy to settle the case, and the likelihood of the case settling rather than going into litigation. I teach insurance adjusters about my client's case, and sometimes I teach them about the law or the person they are insuring. When a case can't be settled, it's my turn to teach the jury about all the relevant facts and issues that support my client's case. I'm not a salesman. I'm not an ambulance-chaser. I'm not going to mislead my clients about the merits of their case or the case's value; I'm going to be honest so the client knows what to expect. I'm someone who helps people who were injured due to someone else's fault, and I love my job.

Angela Fowler is a native Delawarean who graduated with honors from Dover High School in 1992 before going on to graduate cum laude in 1995 from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1999. She was admitted to the Delaware Bar that same year and began her legal career as a civil Deputy for the Department of Justice representing the Division of Child Support Services. Angela left the Department of Justice to move to the Office of the Child Advocate in 2001 where she served as a downstate Deputy Child Advocate, representing abused and neglected children in Family Court proceedings for more than eight years. Angela left the Office of the Child Advocate to become a Hearing Officer for the Industrial Accident Board in October 2009 where she excelled until being appointed to the Family Court Bench as a Commissioner in Kent County in April 2014. Angela retired from the bench at the conclusion of her judicial term to embark on a private practice where she intends to continue working in areas of domestic relations, criminal defense, workers’ compensation and personal injury.. Angela has, throughout her professional career, also worked in a teaching capacity for Wilmington University, first in its Business Department and then in the Legal Studies Department where she has taught Ethics, Family Law, Employment Law and other law-related topics. She has been an active member of the academic community at Wilmington University, enjoying both her classroom interaction with students and the ongoing honor of working with students who have moved beyond her classroom..
