Scott A. Pyle focuses his practice in the areas of business organizations and business planning, corporate and business law creditors and consumers’ rights, real estate and contract law, wills trusts, and estates as well as trial and appellate matters. Scott is a life-long Indiana resident, born and raised in Richmond, Indiana, and has lived in the Northwest Indiana area since 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Scott began his legal career as an associate attorney with a firm in Crown Point, Indiana focusing on representing units of local government. From there, Scott served as a Staff Attorney with the United Auto Workers’ Legal Services Plan representing thousands of United Auto Workers’ Members and Dependents through a pre-paid legal service through their benefits which has since been discontinued. While at the Valparaiso University School of Law, Scott served as a Teaching Assistant in the School’s Legal Writing Department and also served as an Associate Editor for the Valparaiso University Law Review. Scott’s Student Note was published in the Fall of 2002 at 37 Val. U. L. Rev. 429. Since its publication, Scott’s Student Note has been cited by numerous Law Reviews throughout the United States and is also cited and referenced in publications by the American Jurisprudence series. In his time outside of the firm, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.

Michael D. Babcock was born in Valparaiso, Indiana in 1968. Michael attended and graduated from Portage High School in 1987, where he participated in athletics. After high school, Michael attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 1991. Michael attended and graduated from the School of Law of Valparaiso University in 1996 with a Degree of Juris Doctor, graduating with the honor of Cum Laude. Michael sat for and passed the Indiana and Illinois Bars in the summer of 1996.. Michael began his legal career as a Deputy Prosecutor with the Office of the Prosecutor of Lake County. The emphasis of Michael's practice has turned towards litigation. Currently, Michael handles mostly personal injury, medical malpractice, worker's compensation, and criminal defense cases.. Michael practices in Lake County, Indiana, and also handles cases throughout the State of Indiana and State of Illinois, practicing in both State and Federal Courts.. Michael currently resides in Chesterton, Indiana, with his wife and four children. When he is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family and has coached his children in football, baseball, basketball and soccer. Michael also enjoys running and has recently completed the Chicago Marathon
