In Blackwell v. Town of Seymour, Doug served as lead counsel in a case involving a drunk driver resulting in three deaths and an amputation.    The jury returned a verdict totalling over $16 million dollars for the four men with over $6 million of the verdict against the Town of Seymour for the failure of its off duty police officer to stop the drunk driver.. Doug is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and an Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocacy.  He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the field of personal injury.   He is a Past President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.  He has been board certified in civil trial practice for 20 years..
