A Circuit Court judge is the trial level court responsible for trying all types of criminal cases; mostly felonies. This court also hears and renders decisions on divorce and post-divorce matters, contract disputes, probate issues, personal injury cases, and orders of protection. As judge, he presided over hundreds of criminal, domestic, and civil cases. A sampling of the cases appealed from his court are available to view here. Prior to his election to Circuit Court, he was the Williamson County Juvenile Court Referee/Magistrate. He served in this capacity for 7 years. A Juvenile Magistrate hears all types of Juvenile matters in the same manner as a judge. Judge Beal ruled on hundreds of custody disputes, child support matters, and juvenile criminal (delinquent and unruly charges) matters. This is Judge Beal’s second time to practice law with Ernie Williams. Then, as now, he was engaged in the general practice of law concentrating on all types of litigation. Prior to entering private practice the first time, Judge Beal was an Assistant District Attorney and was named the primary drug prosecutor for the judicial district. It's all about the relationship with my clients — meeting their needs and helping to solve their problems.. Working with clients to navigate the ins-and-outs of their legal matters with confidence is where my 15+ years of courtroom and practice experience come into play.. My goal is to empower you to take full control of your case — before the legal system does.. My practice areas are limited to criminal defense, divorce and family law, personal injury, social security disability, and worker's compensation. I also limit the number of clients I work with at any given time, so that I can dedicate my time, attention, and resources fully to my clients.
In the early 90's, I UN-lucked into a claims adjuster job right out of college. I enjoyed it at first, and then began to feel guilty because of all the people I was forced to take advantage of. I learned from defense lawyers how to take recorded statements and "get the goods" on the people that were hurt and was taught how to take advantage of the weaknesses in their case. I was also taught how to get information about their prior medical treatment and how to use that against them.. One day, I settled a case for the insurance company for less than her medical bills. She called 4 days later asking for more money to pay medical bills. I told her I could not. She cried. That call changed my life. I vowed to do the opposite of what I did then, and work for people, not soul-less insurnace companies.. I love slaying the insurance companies. I strive to be the very best trial lawyer that I can ever be, and it all starts with trying my best to be a good person, and bringing hope to all of the people I serve. I now have over 4000 former clients that I call friends. They send me countless great referrals and I am blessed that I do not have to spend $80,000 per month to beg clients to call me. I take the cases that I want to take, with good, deserving, honest and positive minded thinking clients.. It is all about family. I have a passion for my work, but it is all for them that I do my job, and do it well.. With 4 children, we are always on the go. They say life is what you do while you are making plans. My life is fulfilled, and I am so grateful and thankful.. I also have a passion for coaching football. I played briefly in college until I was hurt and enjoy sharing what all I have learned with young men, watching them succeed and believe in themselves, and hopefully teaching them a little bit about life along the way.. I enjoy playing guitar and singing, along with my wife who has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard in my life. I am thankful for her.. In addition to my 4 wonderful kids, I have 4 hairy 4 legged ones (dogs) Buck, Ella, Jessie and Moe. Loyalty is their strength, and they are always there for me, even on bad days.. If you have been injured and have questions regarding your injuries, please contact me. I can help you if you have been injured in a Car Accident, Truck Accident, Bicycle Accident, Pedestrian Accident, Motorcycle Accident, Slip or Fall, or experienced the Wrongful Death of a loved one.. John
In my 24 years of practicing law, I have been fortunate to be able to focus on the areas of the law that interest me the most. My practice has, in part, focused on the representation of children. That representation is sometimes tied to delinquent charges incurred by the child or as a guardian ad litem for children who are involved in dependency and neglect proceedings. This experience has also given me great insight when representing Parents, Grandparents and other family members who are concerned for the welfare of their children.. My love and unique approach to this area of the law is what influenced me to become certified as a Specialist in Child Welfare Law. I have been awarded that Certification by the National Association of the Council for Children. After obtaining that, I began representing children and parents within the school system who were in need of Independent Education Plans (IEP’s) or 504 plans. My years of experience as a litigator, in the Juvenile Court, and relationships within the school system, allow me to work with the family and the school system to obtain the educational results necessary for the child.. My other two main areas of practice are representing businesses and representing clients who have been injured either in an automobile accident, slip and fall or work related incident. I have been practicing in both these areas of the law since 1994, so I have extensive experience in business formation, employment law, and helping those who have been wrongfully injured.. In my law practice, I am calm, responsive and firm. My client’s appreciate the frankness with which I speak. I always advise my clients of the law and my honest analysis of their situation, while at the same time respecting their wishes and their ultimate decision.. I grew up in Key Largo, Florida, which led to my interests in scuba diving, boating, and anything related to water sports. I received my Psychology degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. I then received my law degree from Nova Southeastern School of Law in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1994. I am a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church, an active board member of the Highland Park Homeowners Association, a Daisy Troop leader, and actively volunteer at my children’s school.. I am most proud of my marriage to my husband, John, and our two children, my favorite son, Taylor, and my favorite daughter, Bella.

I have practiced law in WilliamsonCounty(Fanklin, Tennessee) for 31 years. Whether you have a case in General Sessions Court like a DUI, Simple Possession, Shoplifting, a Probation Violation or something more serious in the Circuit Criminal Court like Burglary, Robbery or Felony Drug charges, give me a call and let's discuss your particular case. Never go to court without representation by an experienced Attorney.. My primary area of practice is CRIMINAL DEFENSE. I have handled thousands of Criminal cases over the past 31 years as both a lawyer and a Judge for 15 years. About half my cases are defending citizens just like you who have been charged with Driving Under the Influence(DUI). Most people arrested for DUI's are just ordinary citizens like you and me. Most have never been arrested before and most have absolutely no Criminal record whatsoever.. If you have been arrested for a DUI, please give me a call and let's talk about the circumstances under which you were arrested. Did you take a BAC? Did the officer give you a Field Sobriety Test, or did you refuse? What was the reason for the officer to make the initial traffic stop and ultimately the arrest? The smallest tidbit of information can turn your case from a conviction to a dismissal. Give me a call and let me evaluate your case.. In addition to DUI's, about half of my practice is in representing citizens charged with just about every other crime in the book. If you are charged with a crime, be it. Shoplifting, Theft, Burglary Robbery, a Probation Violation, Drugs, Parol violations, Misdemeanors of Felony Charges or perhaps you just want a lawyer to file a petition to have the Judge consider reducing your jail time, please give me a call and let's talk about the details of your case. Every case is unique, just like a finger print. I will honestly evaluate your case and tell you what I think. I would never want to overpromise and under deliver. While I cannot guarantee the outcome of a case, I will promise to zealously represent you and do my very best to achieve your objectives.. Remember, although I have been a Judge for many years, I DO NOT JUDGE YOU, I REPRESENT YOU. Give me a call and let's talk in person about your case.
