I have over 26 years experience in both DUI/DWI prosecution and defense, including many alcohol-related manslaughter cases.  I work hard to make sure that all possible defenses are explored.  I'm not a stranger to the Courtroom and have extensive Court and Jury Trial experience.  I am especially adept in resolving repeat offender cases where the client is facing a lot of jail time.. My hourly rates are at the high end for Frederick County, because of my experience and reputation.  However, I also rely on less expensive associate attorneys (with "only"  5 - 7 years of experience) to "build" your case while I serve as the "architect" doing the planning and strategic work that my experience and knowledge bring to the table.    The bottom line is that my final bill is ususally much lower than the other attorney's is,   even though they may  charge less per hour than I do.

Charles “Chaz” E. Remus, II was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration summa cum laude from Towson University, where he was also a member of the Honors College. While at the University of Maryland, Chaz was an Article Editor for the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class.  He participated in the University of Maryland’s Mediation Clinic during his second year of law school, and mediated various contract and landlord/tenant cases at the Baltimore City District Court.
