Lindon Bennett Magee is a Ponchatoula native and graduate of Ponchatoula High School. Lindon attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She was the youngest graduate of the Class of 2011. While at Southeastern, she was consistently on the President’s List, and was awarded the Presidential Honors Scholarship. Lindon was also a member of the Thirteen Club.. Lindon continued her education at Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center where she received her Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law in 2014. Lindon was a recipient of the Chancellor’s Council Scholarship. Lindon spent a summer studying abroad at Jean Moulin University Lyon III in Lyon, France. She also participated in several programs and clinics while at LSU Law, including a Trial Advocacy program, a Family Mediation Clinic and a Juvenile Defense Clinic.. Prior to entering law school, Lindon worked in the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office with the Tri-Parish Victims’ Assistance Program. During law school and after graduation, she worked as a law clerk for the district court judges of the 21st Judicial District Court.

I am an experienced criminal and civil law attorney.  I have worked as an Assistant Public Defender (felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile delinquency, and OCS) and have held legal positions such as a managing attorney with a prominent law firm in Baton Rouge; associate attorney at one of the largest personal injury firms in the US; and a law clierk at the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.   I have practiced personal injury law throughout Louisiana.. I am an active member of the community, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, Inc., NOLA Women for Change, and Beacon Light Baptist Church of Hammond.  My community service includes participating and hosting political forums for judicial and mayoral candidates, a Relay for Life committee member, voter registratrion drives, tutoring, mentoring, clothes drives, etiquette workshops,blood drives, and bone marrow drives..
