Randy Clinkscales founded Clinkscales Elder Law Practice in 1985. He is a 1980 graduate of Washburn Law School and has represented clients at the administrative, county, state and federal levels in his 30+ years of practice. He is married to Barbara Clinkscales and they have three sons. Randy was the first area attorney to become a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He is also a member of the Kansas Chapter of NAELA, serving as its president for two terms (2009-2011), the Life Care Planning Law Firm Association and the Elder Law Section of the Kansas Bar Association. In 2001, Clinkscales Elder Law Practice began its Elder-Centered Practice, focusing on issues facing our aging population, as well as those caring for those who are aging. The practice includes Veterans Pension Benefits. Randy is an accredited V.A. attorney. He authors a monthly column for the Kansas Senior Times with a circulation of 12,000, where he writes about legal issues and benefits facing older adults. He is also the editor of the Kansas section of a book for accountants, AICPA. Randy writes and publishes the Elder Law Update, a bimonthly newsletter sent to more than 2000 homes, health facilities and businesses. His office also publishes the Elder Law Update - Health Professionals Edition, a newsletter for health care professionals, Elder Law Update - Financial Professionals Edition, a newsletter for financial professionals and the Life Care Journal for its Life Care Planning clients. Randy presents seminars for continuing educational purposes through the Area Health Education Center to health care professionals. He also presents seminars for continuing education information to attorneys in the state of Kansas, as well as provides a variety of topic seminars to the public.

John's current law practice involves the areas of family law, personal injury, medical malpractice, torts, litigation, wills, trusts, labor and employment, among others. He is known for handling complex family law matters involving large assets and has appeared in courts in 98 of Kansas's 105 Counties.. John T. Bird achieved his  undergraduate degree and J.D. from Washburn University of Topeka and has served as both Assistant County Attorney and City Attorney in Ellis, Kansas. He served as a member of the Kansas Supreme Court Child Support Guidelines Committee and is the City Attorney for Hays.. John has always been an active leader and participant in community service, politics and citizen action. He served as Chair of his Ellis County (Kansas) Democratic Party and as Chair of the Kansas State Democratic Party when the first woman Governor in Kansas was elected.. John is widowed and has four adult children, and many grandchildren.  He works full days and spends most of his time away from work with family.  His 118 year old office building, a converted limestone Lutheran church, serves as a gathering place for his clients, fellow attorneys and community leaders.  His firm and support staff are involved in many community activities.

I have over 25 years experience in the legal profession with a diverse work history including service as a research attorney to a Kansas appellate court judge, private practice in the areas of personal injury, appellate and administrative practice and general civil litigation, and 10 years' service as General Counsel and Executive Assistant to the President at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. Blake A. Bittel was born in WaKeeney, Kansas in 1971 and was raised in Ellis, Kansas. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Fort Hays State University in 1994. He received a Juris Doctor in 1997 from Oklahoma City University School of Law and practiced in Oklahoma for several years after graduating. Blake was the 1995-97 Staff Editor of the Oklahoma City University Law Review and 1997 Recipient of the CALI Award for Pretrial Litigation. Blake is also admitted to practice before Kansas Federal District Court, U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. District Court; Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma..
