The first tour was with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in 1965 and 1966 and the second tour of duty was as a Green Beret with the 5th Special Forces group in 1969 and 1970. He retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant in 1978.. He brought the lessons learned in the military to the practice of law. I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on February 25, 1968. He received his Diploma in 1986 from Montgomery Bell Academy, his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1990 from Rhodes College, and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1993 from Memphis University. While attending Memphis University, he served on the Memphis University Law Review and Moot Court Board. I was admitted to the Tennessee bar in October of 1993.
