During my years as a prosecutor (2005-2008) I prosecuted individuals accused of crimes in Miami-Dade County. Following one hard fought jury trial, with no eyewitnesses, I got a conviction in a murder case previously featured in ‘The First 48’ episode ‘House of Blood/Last Man Standing.’ In 2008, I began private practice as a criminal defense attorney. I successfully obtained dozens of acquittals following jury trials, including murder, rape, robbery, and other complex, serious felony charges. A number of my cases have been featured in local and even national news reports. In 2016, I joined a boutique plaintiffs law firm as the in-house litigator, litigating serious and complex matters, and I assisted clients in recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal injury and homeowner insurance cases.. In 2018 I became the founding attorney in DeMiles Law, bringing years of litigation and trial experience in both a criminal and civil setting to a boutique litigation practice.

Born in Detroit, MI, Nathan graduated from University of Detroit Jesuit High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Management from Florida A&M University. Following a successful career in residential and commercial property management, Nathan went on to earn a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University, in a matter of only two years. Nathan has served as General Counsel in the property management sector and spent several years as a litigator. Nathan combines over a decade of real-world business acumen with top-notch legal education and experience to best serve his clients’ legal needs. Nathan is an Ordained Minister, husband, and father of five.

After law school, I served as an Assistant-State Attorney in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office where I prosecuted hundreds of crimes ranging from felony charges punishable by life in prison to misdemeanor charges such as driving under the influence. During my time as an Assistant State Attorney, I gained invaluable courtroom experience, trying twenty jury trials and approximately fifty bench trials to verdict.. I currently practice in my firm's insurance subrogation department.  Before that, I practiced insurance defense and construction litigation in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Gables.  I currently live in Cooper City with my wife and three children.
