Following graduation from law school Rebekah clerked for the Honorable Loyd H. Little, Jr. of the Circuit Court of Madison County, Alabama.. In 2006 Rebekah joined William P. Burgess, Jr., P.C. (later Burgess Graham Canupp, P.C.) where she focused on family law issues. From 2014 until 2016 Rebekah served as Of Counsel in the Family Law practice in Maynard, Cooper, & Gale's Huntsville office.. Ms. Canupp’s practice is focused on family law and divorce. She regularly counsels clients about division of assets, child custody, alimony, support, modifications, and related matters. When clients wish to settle their divorce or other family law matter, she will work with clients, opposing counsel, and mediators to work out the best possible solution.. When settlement is not possible, she will assist clients at trial and, if necessary, on appeal. She has significant experience litigating major divorce and related matters and has tried divorce and family law cases before almost all of the judges in Madison, Morgan, and Limestone Counties. Ms. Canupp has handled many matters in surrounding counties and has briefed and orally argued significant family law issues on appeal to Alabama’s appellate courts.. Along with many other family law issues, Ms. Canupp regularly advises clients about adoptions, paternity, qualified domestic relations orders, and division of retirement accounts, including military retirement benefits and thrift savings plans.. Ms. Canupp’s experience in family law began during law school where she was the administrative chair of the Family Law Society. While serving as chair, she represented indigent family law clients through the Children’s Rights and Family Law Clinic.

Mr. Royer’s practice is primarily focused on litigation. He practices primarily in the areas of local governmental liability, civil rights and constitutional litigation, employment, commercial disputes and professional malpractice, both at the trial level and on appeal. He frequently serves as a court-appointed mediator in civil litigation for federal and state courts. He also regularly represents clients in general civil and insurance defense litigation.. Mr. Royer typically defends municipalities, county governments, and other governmental entities when they are sued for negligence, civil rights violations, and other matters.

Mr. Moore's practice is centered on real estate and matters which are considered initially in the probate courts. He also has experience in the representation of defendants in litigated matters. Mr. Moore has represented most of the major lenders in the north Alabama market and borrowers from those lenders. He has assisted industrial clients in negotiating and obtaining attractive tax and economic incentives for industrial expansion throughout Alabama.. He is an agent for First American and Mississippi Valley Title Insurance companies and routinely issues owners and lenders policies on both commercial and residential property. He has represented commercial lenders in collecting from delinquent borrowers. He is experienced in matters concerning foreclosure and the representation of creditors in the bankruptcy court. He has also represented clients with zoning requests, variances, annexations, vacations of easements and rights of way, and appeared before the local Board of Zoning Adjustment and the Planning Commission and its subcommittees. He has handled appeals from the decisions of these bodies.. In representing his clients, Mr. Moore has enjoyed a positive working relationship with the staffs of the Planning, Engineering, Inspection, Community Development, and Legal departments of the City of Huntsville. He serves as a hearing officer for the City of Huntsville for matters arising under its personnel policies and procedures. On an on-going basis, he represents the City of Huntsville Department of Community Development, and has worked with that department and representatives of Huntsville Housing Developments, Inc., in rehabilitating the Meadow Hills community. Mr. Moore has also provided legal services to the non-profit organization, Living in Family Transition (LIFT) Housing.. For several years, Mr. Moore was responsible for the evictions undertaken by the Housing Authority of the City of Huntsville. He continues to represent clients involved in landlord-tenant disputes.
