I was raised in the woods and water of Calvert County, Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. My parents taught me at a young age that everything in life is about trust and relationships. At age 14, my parents sent me to work for his grandfather’s marine mechanic business to “build character.” Hauling toolboxes in the summer heat on the docks of the Waterfront in Washington, D.C. did indeed build character, and I develop a strong work ethic as a result. I learned that there is pride in doing even the “dirtiest” jobs and satisfaction in honest pay for honest work.. I became fascinated with courts and the world of law in elementary school, where I would rush home every day to watch the O.J. Simpson trial on TV with my dad.
