My name is Mark Rees.  I became a lawyer because I wanted to help people.  This can be difficult at times, but I always try to remember that people have disputes and they need someone to get them resolved.  Regardless of what the problem is, if I can get it resolved, the client is grateful.. My main focus is to handle personal injury/wrongful death accidents.  I truly feel that lawyers can make the community that we live in safer by requiring corporations and individuals that violate "standard safety rules" be responsible for the injuries that they cause because of such conduct.. My wife, Tamara, and I were married in 1993 and I have three children, Reagan, Kendal, and Zac.  We certainly have enjoyed watching them grow up and become responsible and compassionate to others.. My role as a lawyer is important to me; I understand that people come to me because of some problem that is disrupting their lives; I will always strive to remember each client and their circumstance, and try and get it resolved the best way possible that is beneficial to the client.

I grew up in Piggott, Arkansas where I learned the value of hard work and a lot about construction. Both of my grandfathers were contractors and my father still owns a small flooring store to this day. I grew up on construction sites since I was a small child and was soon put to work on these very job sites for my family business. This on the job training helped me to become a better attorney later in life. This is especially true in my construction law practice.. In addition to working as a flooring installer for my father, I was also the maintenance person for my father’s rental property. This taught me many aspects of real estate development and rental property management. Both the practical construction experience and property management experience have helped me develop a better relationship with my clients and be able to communicate with and understand my clients needs better regarding real estate and construction law matters.. After attending Arkansas State University, I transferred to Middle Tennessee State University and obtained my undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in audio engineering. After a career in sales, I decided to attend Bowen Law School in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am licensed to practice law in Arkansas as well as the Eastern and Western District Courts of the United States. I owned a successful solo practice in Little Rock, Arkansas, for the first four years of practicing law before moving to a reputable mid-sized firm in Little Rock. During this time, I was able to hone my skills and become an effective litigator as well as a transaction attorney regarding civil law and family law matters. I have opened Eason Law with offices in both Jonesboro and Piggott, Arkansas. I am excited to be back in Northeast Arkansas and to serve the communities I grew up in.

I am the managing partner of Owens Mixon Heller. P.A. and have been since January 1, 2014.  Prior to that, I was a partner with Marshall and Owens P.A. for over 21 years.  Although I spend a considerable amount of time representing banks and finance companies, I also actively practice family law and divorce, estates and elder law, and personal injury law.. Having adopted 4 kids, I have particular interest in helping people provide forever homes for children through adoption. In my time away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake in Heber Springs. In addition to spending time on the lake in Heber,  I also enjoy trout fishing on the Little Red River.

Douglas Brimhall is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociolgy. After graduating in 2006, Douglas attended Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law where he obtained a Juris Doctorate decree in the spring of 2009. Douglas was admitted to practice law in the State of Arkansas in September of 2010. He has worked in the field of Domestic Relations, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Bankruptcy and Civil Litigation throughout the state of Arkansas.. Douglas is admitted in all state courts within Arkansas and concentrates his practice in the areas of family law (including but not limited to divorce, custody, guardianships, child support, adoptions, etc.), general civil litigation and personal injury.  Douglas is very passionate about the work he does relating to family law issues and represents his clients with a sense of passion, dedication, and respect.
