After graduating from George Washington University Law School in 1981, I took a job at the Legal Aid Office in Syracuse, where I was a trial attorney for five years. I handled mostly criminal trials, with some general civil work. We were a busy office, helping thousands of clients and litigating cases regularly. I found it rewarding to be able to help others, and to advocate for causes I believed in. I felt that our good work went far in bettering the lives of those Syracuse residents most in need.. In 1986, my wife and I moved to Kingston, and I have been working at Ryan, Roach & Ryan ever since. I've continued to handle trial work and appeals. Much of my practice is now devoted to wills and probate, corporate matters and real estate. As much as ever, I still enjoy helping my clients navigate through their legal problems.
