As a former (15-year) practitioner in transactional corporate and securities law, I teach law students the basics of business associations, corporate finance, securities regulation, and contract drafting.  I conduct research and publish written work in the same areas, with an emphasis on disclosure law and policy.I also have an interest in the ways in which the law interacts with nonhuman animals and have taught courses and lectured on that subject.In 2009, I attained full professor status and was named The University of Tennessee College of Law Distinguished Professor of Law.  In 2012, I was named the W.P.
