I have specialized in general insurance (auto, homeowners, business premises liability) and medical malpractice defense for hospitals, nursing homes, and doctors. Over the last 4 years, I have defended 4 brain damaged baby trials each lasting more than 8 days and obtained defense verdicts in all 4 of them. I also do physician peer review and fair hearing cases for hospitals and doctors and work with medical staffs and hospital boards in the areas of credentialing and quality reviews. I have acquired extensive experience in state and federal trial courts in Tennessee and Georgia, as well as appellate representation before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Tennessee Supreme Court. I have also successfully represented doctors and nurses in administrative hearings before the Tennessee Board of Medicine and Board of Nursing.
