For college, I first attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana, and earned my undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 1986, from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. After graduation, I went into private business until 1992, at which time I entered Law School at Southern University. I graduated from Southern University School of Law in 1995, Magna Cum Laude, and as Associate Editor of the Law Review during my Senior Year.. I am married to the former June Odom, a local small business owner, and we have two amazing children, Johnae and Jacob.
