Following law school, Julia gained a wide range of legal experience in various types of civil litigation, transactional matters, and alternative dispute resolution. With respect to civil litigation, Julia has provided critical litigation support on numerous types of cases, including employment law matters, family law matters, and civil forfeiture proceedings. On the transactional side, Julia has worked with hundreds of clients on tax-related matters, from negotiating structured resolutions with the Internal Revenue Service to removing levies and garnishments. Also in the transactional setting, Julia has practiced common interest development law, which involved drafting governing documents and bylaws for homeowner's associations and providing day-to-day advice and counseling to their board members. On the dispute resolution front, Julia has worked with the fair housing commission in Sacramento, California, where she mediated landlord-tenant disputes and provided legal counseling and public seminars on housing rights. Julia's breadth of legal experience gives her a unique and well-rounded approach to employment law and a sensitivity to the various legal issues that her clients may encounter.. In addition to practicing law, Julia also maintains an interest in legal scholarship. In 2012, Julia co-authored an article with Michael J. Bazyler, which appeared in Loyola Law School's International and Comparative Law Review.. Julia obtained her J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, graduating with distinction in 2009, and honored with the Robert J. Traynor Honor Society. During law school, Julia also externed for the Honorable Oliver W. Wanger, a federal district judge in the Eastern District of California.
