Also in the transactional setting, Julia has practiced common interest development law, which involved drafting governing documents and bylaws for homeowner's associations and providing day-to-day advice and counseling to their board members. On the dispute resolution front, Julia has worked with the fair housing commission in Sacramento, California, where she mediated landlord-tenant disputes and provided legal counseling and public seminars on housing rights. Julia's breadth of legal experience gives her a unique and well-rounded approach to employment law and a sensitivity to the various legal issues that her clients may encounter.. In addition to practicing law, Julia also maintains an interest in legal scholarship. In 2012, Julia co-authored an article with Michael J. Bazyler, which appeared in Loyola Law School's International and Comparative Law Review.. Julia obtained a B.A. in Philosophy (Pre-Law Option) with a Minor in Political Science from Fresno State University in 2003. Julia obtained her J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, graduating with distinction in 2009, and honored with the Robert J. Traynor Honor Society. During law school, Julia served on the McGeorge Law Review and published in both the McGeorge Law Review “Greensheets” and the Whittier Law Review. During law school, Julia also externed for the Honorable Oliver W. Wanger, a federal district judge in the Eastern District of California.
