Martha McLaughlin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Puget Sound in 1984. Despite working full-time as a Microbiologist with Multicare Health Systems and raising two boys while her Air Force officer husband was frequently deployed, Martha managed to graduate from Seattle University School of Law with honors in 2007. She is an avid shooter and grew up in a shooting family. She is working toward a perfect score in skeet.. Martha was the first attorney to enter a client into Lakewood’s Veterans Court Program, a program which takes into account the special circumstances of veterans when there is a nexus between consequences of their military duty and the crime committed. She also has a background in personal injury and criminal misdemeanor law. Here in our office, she handles mainly criminal traffic cases and occasionally traffic infractions as well.
