Having been raised in Las Vegas since childbirth, I have seen this town change many times. Having been the son of a Personal Injury attorney (Tommy F. Deaver, Esq.), I have frequently heard how the legal system has changed. For years my dad would ask me, "Are you sure you want to go into law?" My determination never waivered. In fact, I can remember wanting to me a laywer from an early age.. Over the years I have realized that what my dad was saying was true. The legal system has changed. In fact, it has become more and more difficult for clients to recovery the settlements they deserve.. It has been said that "the only way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing". As a member of the legal community, I feel it an honor to go up against bullies (insurance companies) and aggressively seek the compensation my clients deserve. Too often I hear from my clients that their previous attorney talked them into settling that was either (1) too little, and/or (2) they didn't want to settle the case. Although its not possible to "hit a home run" on every case, we believe that given the size of our office, no case is too small. We also believe that given our experience, no case is too large.. While most attorneys talk their clients into a settlement short of litigation, we evaluate every case properly and routinely advise filing a lawsuit to achieve the maxium settlement our clients deserve.. As a native of Las Vegas, this is my home and this is where i plan on staying,

George HainesManaging Attorney- Freedom Law Firm. In the late 2000s, Southern Nevada was hit especially hard by the last Great Recession. The real estate market crashed, unemployment rates soared, there was a record number of bankruptcy filings and wages were stagnate. But, we made it through it and we learned how to survive in these types of downturns. Are we going to see something similar to the Great Recession in the coming months or years due to the Covid Pandemic?…… it’s tough to say, but if we do, we’ll get through it. In order to save homes, vehicles, feed families and pay living expenses, many may need to consider bankruptcy or other loss mitigation options. However, just like we did after the Great Recession, we will rebound and grow stronger.. George Haines has the experience, expertise, empathy & knowledge to help Nevadans in need get back on their feet. He has practiced consumer law for 20-years. He has helped thousands of people in Southern Nevada get out from under their current financial burdens and move on with their lives. He listens to all of his clients because every client has unique needs and issues. He is an experienced consumer bankruptcy lawyer who has handled all types of complicated and not so complicated bankruptcies. He believes in being creative and in thinking outside the box. George was previously co-founder and owner of Haines and Krieger in Las Vegas for 15 years which has now been restructured and reborn as Freedom Law Firm!. George believes it is crucial that his clients have an understanding of the legal process, that goals are discussed with his clients and that there is path to get his clients to where they want to go. “Our clients may have similar problems, but that does not mean they should be treated the same”, Haines often says. “Problems affect people in different ways, and every single client deserves an individualized approach to solving their problems. I am committed to pulling out all the stops necessary to save people from what is in many cases, unimaginable hardships that could turn their entire lives upside down. Ultimately, I judge myself by the success of our clients, not by the diplomas and certificates hanging on my wall”.. Freedom Law Firm will always focus on helping people get a fresh start on life, saving homes from foreclosure, and taking the confusion out of financial recovery. This is where George’s expertise in consumer bankruptcy, consumer litigation, loan modifications, foreclosure solutions, and credit management, comes into play. “I love being able to make a positive impact on people, get them back on track, and turn their lives around. I really feel that it takes a team effort and here at Freedom Law Firm we believe that our staff provides the necessary support for our clients to succeed”.. From very early in his life David was taught the importance of helping others. While David’s earliest experiences in helping people were in providing physical service, it soon became apparent that David was best able to help others through standing up for those who had been wronged.. David discovered his gift for public speaking at an early age. He served as the captain of his speech and debate team both his junior and senior year at Mountain View High School in Arizona where he competed in many forensic events, including the Arizona State Championship Tournament. David continued his pursuits in college, winning a number of speech tournaments in his freshman and sophomore year. From 1990 to 1992 David lived in The Netherlands while he served a mission for his church. After his mission David obtained his Bachelor’s degree and entered law school at Brigham Young University where he continues to hone his skills as a member of the law school’s Moot Court team. David competed in multiple intercollegiate tournaments, including traveling to Manhattan to represent his school in the National Championship in 1998.. David is very proud of his accomplishments in the legal field thus far in his career. He began in law school working as a clerk with Birch and Birch, as well as Spence, Motiarty and Scheuster. Upon passing the bar David began practicing law in 1998 and joined a local law office during the summer of 1999. One of the first clients David represented was a young woman who had been struck by a taxi cab and had severely injured her back. That case ultimately settled for $1,900,.* A few years later David procured a settlement in the amount of $4,500, on a case involving an adult care facility that left one of its patient’s outside in the Las Vegas sun for a number of hours. Since then David has taken a number of cases to jury trial himself including: a motorcycle accident case which resulted in a $593, judgment for his client, a $350, judgment for a man who was struck when acar ran a stop sign, and a $394, judgment for a client who lost his hearing as a result of medical malpractice. David was most recently involved in an action for insurance bad faith against Allstate insurance company. That case resulted in a verdict for Allstate’s customer for over $1,600, because Allstate acted improperly.. David has obtained a number of other judgments during his career, including a $250, judgment for a woman who suffered an annular tear in her back, a $400, judgment for an adolescent girl who had been bitten by a dog, and a $1,000, for a adolescent girl who was assaulted by a sexual predator. David’s most recent judgments include an $8.5 million judgment against a drunk driver, and a $1.2 million judgment against a drunk driver who struck a pedestrian. David has also settled several hundred cases in his career. While many of these cases are subject to confidentiality, one case David can discuss is a settlement for $1,200, against Republic Silver State that resulted when a Silver State field safety officer ran a stop sign and killed a motorcyclist.. On a personal note David enjoys playing the guitar and the drums. He is married and has what he calls the four most wonderful daughters on the planet. Few disagree with him. David lives his life, and his law practice, by a very simple philosophy he learned while attending law school: love those over whom you have a stewardship, do whatever it takes to get what is best for them, and everything else will fall into place. David sums up his life and career thus far as follows, “I love what I do. I love the clients I work for and the people I work with, and I would never dream of asking for more.”
