After graduating in 2003 from Gonzaga University with a joint JD/MBA degree, I have focused on real estate and commercial litigation in my legal practice. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May of 2009.  Mr. Carlson worked as a summer intern to the Honorable Sarah Evans Barker of the United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana.. Mr. Carlson has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Colorado State University and a master’s in Business Administration from Valparaiso University.  He presently practices in the areas of real estate and transactional law.

Jake Mantin, a native Nevadan, obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. His practice consists primarily of real estate matters—including homeowners’ association matters, property management matters, leases, and transactions—and general transactional matters, including corporate formations and mergers and acquisitions.. During his time in law school, Jake was a distinguished student. He earned multiple Pedrick Scholar Honors recognitions for semesters of high academic performance. Jake also earned two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for top marks in Pro Sport Team Operations and Legal Issues, and Professional Sports Law. I was born on September 20, 1972 inChicago, Illinois and moved to Las Vegas with my family at the age of 11. Aftergraduation from Bonanza High School, I immediately enlisted with the NevadaArmy and completed a tour of duty in the Middle East during Operation DesertShield and Desert Storm as a Military Police Officer. During my service, Iprimarily guarded and escorted enemy prisoners of war, for which I received anumber of commendations and medals including the Southwest Asia Service Medalwith two Bronze Service Stars, the National Defense Service Medal, theSouthwest Asia Campaign Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Award, the Nevada StateCommendation Medal, and the Governor's Outstanding Unit Award.. Following my military service, Ireceived two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications Studies - Rhetorical Theoryand Criminal Justice in 2000 from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. I nextattended the Boyd School of Law and received my Juris Doctorate degree in 2003.. While still a full-time studentcompleting my undergraduate degrees and during my first two years of lawschool, I was employed at Binion's Horseshoe, where I started as a pokerdealer, was promoted to Shift Supervisor, and culminated my poker career as the2002 World Series of Poker Tournament Coordinator. Carlos L. McDade, Colonel, USAF (Retired) joined Black & LoBello after a successful twenty-two year career as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force.  Mr. McDade has over twelve years of experience in environmental and land use law.  He has provided counsel for compliance matters such as air quality, Title V, drinking water, wastewater and stormwater permitting; for solid and hazardous waste permitting, handling and reporting; for planning under NEPA, Endangered Species Act and Migratory Bird Act regulatory regimes and airport zoning, bird hazard, flight-path obstruction issues and noise complaints.  He has defended against regulatory violations and enforcement actions from state and local regulators and from four EPA Regional Offices in a dozen different states.. Mr. McDade has been awarded with the Air Force Chief of Staff Team Award, 2008, for the Nellis Air Force Base Photovoltaic Array Generating Plant; the General Counsel of the Air Force Award, 2006 for enabling Predator operations and the Department of Defense Inspector General’s Award, 1995.  He was honored with the Legion of Merit Award, the Defense Meritorious Service Award, the Air Force Meritorious Service Award with multiple devices and the Air Force Humanitarian Services Award.  He was recognized for providing innovative counsel to Aviation Nation, the Nellis Air Force Base Air Show; as Outstanding Investigator, Department of Defense Inspector General, Senior Officials Investigations Division; Commander’s Appreciation for establishing the Tinker Air Force Base Airpower Park and Letter of Appreciation for Litigation, General Counsel of the Air Force.  He is also a member of the Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2008.  Mr. McDade was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in January 2009.  As of 2009, Mr. McDade has been approved as a Licensed Foreclosure Mediator by the State of Nevada.
