I was born in Ruston, Louisiana before moving to Mandeville, Louisiana in 2005, one month before Hurricane Katrina, one of the most devastating natural disasters in U.S. history. My family’s experience with criminal law issues was the motivation for my becoming a defense attorney. I have personal experience with the kind of effects criminal matters can have on a family unit both physically and emotionally.. I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Finance in 2014. I decided I wanted a change of scenery in 2016 when I decided to enroll at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. My wife and I love living in central Arkansas and have put down roots here.. While in law school, I had the opportunity of being exposed to criminal law while working for an attorney in North Little Rock. It took me some time to realize that my passion was not in Finance and Accounting, my first career, but that it actually resided in criminal law and domestic relations.. My criminal practice primarily involves defending misdemeanors, probation/parole matters and expungements but I also assist Mr. McKay in his complex felony cases. In addition, I maintain a domestic relations practice, which includes divorces, dissolution, child custody, child support, alimony, adoptions, paternity and guardianship. I also work in the areas of bankruptcy, estate planning and probate, elder law, and disability benefits.

I grew up right in the middle of Arkansas, and after serving in the military, I obtained my law degree and moved back to the Little Rock area with my family. As an attorney, I have a desire to help the people around me find their way through the complicated legal situations of their lives — whether it's estate planning, probate, difficult family law issues, or facing criminal charges and fighting for their rights. I concentrate my practice on helping people with their estate planning. After two decades of practicing law, I gravitated towards this area for two reasons. The first is that it allows me to help people avoid problems on the front end, rather than just help them cope after problems arise. The second reason is that it allows me to spend a lot of my time teaching and sharing information with my clients instead of arguing with other lawyers. I also am available to speak to groups and organizations interested in the areas of will, trusts, and estate planning.

Harrison Kemp was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and returned here after law school to raise his own family in the town he knows and trusts. He did his undergraduate work at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and received a degree in Political Science.. Austin has been interested in politics most of his life and has sought out internships over the years that reflect that interest. He has worked as a United States Senate Intern for Senator John Boozman; as an intern at the State Supreme Court for Justice Courtney Goodson; and as an intern at the McWilliams Governmental Affairs firm in Austin, Texas.
