Mr. Fuchs obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1968 and a Law Degree from the University of Southern California in 1978. After an initial stint following gradulation from Columbia, as an engineer for Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, I migrated to Los Angleles and was Technical Editor of Hot Rod Magazine and Engineering Editor for Motor Trend Magazine, from 1971-74, before obtaining my law degree in 1978. I started my law career at Latham & Watkins from 1978-81 and have had a my own law firm or a small partnership since 1983. I am an avid car enthusiast and over the years have owned several Porsches, several Mercedes, a Ferrari, and most recently a Dodge Viper GTS. I have regularly participated in track events and for nearly 20 years have been a navigator in the Silver State Classic Challenge in Nevada, in the 150 mile per hour class. I am an active member of Checkered Flag 200, a support group for the Petersen Automotive Museum, and I have handled a number of lawsuits and disputes involving collector cars such as Ferraris, Porsches and even some old race cars, as well as many business disputes, financing disputes and construction defects cases.. My associate, Gail Gilfillan, is a UCLA graduate and obtained her law degree from Pepperdine University in 1993. She has been with me for the entirety of her law career and is a terrific lawyer and a compliment to our business litigation and construction defect practice..
